November is your last chance to finish last minute outdoor maintenance and gardening tasks before winter comes.
Gardeners recommend pruning trees after all the leaves fall. Usually late fall or early spring. Once all the leaves have fallen, it’s time to prune overgrown or damaged branches. Prune trees on a clear day, pruning during wet condition can put plans at greater risk of fungal diseases.
Raking Fallen Leaves
Fallen leaves prevent light and air penetrating to plants and lawns. Fallen leaves are also heaven for slugs, snails and fungal diseases.
Cleaning out the Greenhouse
Clear out any rubbish, wash pots and trays, clean all your tools. If you clean your greenhouse you will prevent pests from hibernating. Wash the windows inside and outside, clean benches.
